At Vet Around The Corner, we’re lucky to have a whole lineup of high‑quality diagnostic machines right here in the clinic. That means we can run all sorts of tests — from blood profiles to urinalysis to thyroid checks — without having to send samples away. Faster results for us means faster answers for you and your furry family.

Before any anaesthetic procedure, we recommend a blood test to make sure everything inside is working just as it should. These checks give us a snapshot of your pet’s kidneys, liver, electrolytes, and blood cells, helping us keep them safe during their procedure. They’re also incredibly helpful when we’re investigating why a pet isn’t feeling their best, often giving us the clues we need to diagnose different conditions.

Some tests do need a little extra attention — things like faecal analysis or lump histopathology — so those are sent to an external lab for specialised handling and interpretation.
